Norm’s gravel bike

Norm asked me to build him a gravel bike, but like my own personal preferences, wanted it to fit and handle like his road bike, just to have the tire clearance and greater gear range for a wider variety of riding. With the give provided for with the tires, he requested the frame be a little stiffer, so I used a larger, bi-ovalised Columbus downtube, and custom ovalised toptube.

For a potential future dropper post addition, the frame uses a 30.9mm seatpost – fitting a directly actuated or SRAM AXS dropper would not require any addtional cable routing. Norm wasn’t keen on the shape of the hoods on the SRAM hydraulic shifters, so went with mechanical disc brakes, but with 160mm rotors front and rear.

To make riding in all weathers more pleasant, full fender mounts were integrated, allowing for the PDW fenders to bolt in place.

The lovely paint was applied by Colorworks, and the weight came in at 18.1lbs (without the fenders).
