Chris’ V3 road bike

Chris’ V3 road bike

Chris asked me to build him a road bike, with some special design features. The frame has a carbon fiber seatmast, with a custom cap for saddle height adjustment. There are twin, curved toptubes, that visually flow into the curve of the wishbone seatstays – that were a challenge as they have three bends in two planes….

Up front, an oversize headtube allows for the Enve internal routing system, with their headset, bar/stem and fork. The frame and fork will clear 35mm tires, or as shown here, 30mm tires with fender clearance.

For the groupset, Chris selected a 1x drivetrain, based around an e13 cassette and crankset, with SRAM providing the braking and wireless shifting.

Beautiful paint by Colorworks matches the orange anodising, and the bike weighs in at 18.1lbs.
