Another busy week in the shop – Parker’s tri bike is all done, and had studio photos taken yesterday, so hopefully I’ll have those back to post in a week or so. Then Ryan and Amy’s tandem is taking shape – I finished up most of the brazing today, just the rear end to go. I find doing the final joint brazing something of a zen process – my preference is to listen to an episode of Radiolab, get under the hood and become one with the metal; then when everything flows nicely I get joints that hardly take any clean up to make pretty. The photos show them immediately post-brazing – they next need to be soaked in hot water to remove the flux prior to clean up.
