Mack’s road bike

Mack’s road bike

Mack is a tall rider who asked me to build him a road bike. We settled on disc brakes, and SRAM AXS for the group, with a Rotor carbon crank for a little weight saving.

The Allied carbon fork is mated to the frame via a custom headset. There is an aero downtube, ovalised toptube and internal routing for the rear brake hose.

Mack asked if I could make a custom seatpost to match; the head was cut to match the shape of the top of the seatube and bonded to a custom-made carbon tube. The bike will roll smoothly with the 32mm tires, which are mounted on Enve rims laced to Chris King hubs.

Beautiful paint by Colorworks, and the final weight is 18.3lbs.

  1. What a nice bike, the combination of a carbon seatpost with a ‘isp’ seatmast could not be more cool!
