Daniel’s road bike

Daniel wanted an update for his very old trusty road bike. We went fully modern with carbon wheels, wireless shifting, hydraulic disc brakes and fully hidden brake hoses. The frame was designed to match his fit and provide geometry for confident descending.

Whilst hidden hoses give a very sleek appearance, they can make traveling with the bike challenging. To provide a little accommodation for this, the bike uses Cane Creek’s HCR headset and stem – here the hoses are tucked into a channel under the stem, rather than through it. Meaning that if the bars are removed from the stem, there is some available slack in the hoses to allow positioning the bar for fitting into a bike case. The second advantage of this system is the ability to swap the stem and spacers without disturbing the hoses, should any fit adjustments be required.

Colorworks did a great job with the color-shift paint which really pops in the sunlight. The bike weighs in at 17.5lbs.
