Custom seatpost

Custom seatpost

This was an interesting project! Benjamin is restoring a classic Serotta, and wanted a seatpost to match the appearance of the Wound-up carbon fork (which has a polished aluminium crown with carbon blades). I was able to source a carbon tube of the right diameter with a weave similar to that used by Wound-up. A seatpost head was fabricated in stainless, and polished before being bonded to the carbon. Colorworks then applied a gloss clearcoat to to the carbon tube, and Enve hardware completed the assembly. While not having weight as a goal, it is actually fairly light at 192g.
