Happy New Year!

We are snowed in today, so a good day for riding the rollers – and building wheels. I just finished this pair, so thought it was a good time to post a reminder that custom wheels are available independently of frames/bikes.

I build a lot with Enve rims, but happy to use any of the many options – this pair features Hed Belgium Plus rims laced to Wheels Manufacturing hubs. The hubs are the return of the Alchemy design that was my go to hub for road wheels for quite some time. Exceptionally well engineered, the front hub weighs 66g and the rear 200g. With DT aerolite spokes laced 24/28, this wheelset weighs 1494g complete with tubeless tape and valves.
