3 March 2012

Day two of NAHBS and it has been very busy – project RIGHT has been very popular, as has lifting my sub 11lb steel race bike (pictures and specs to be posted soon!). Though I discovered at the end of the day that Crumpton had a lighter bike at under 10lbs; but that one was lacking pedals and bottle cages!

But, what has made my weekend was Joe Breeze coming to visit and asking me for MY autograph! I told him I was a big fan and it should be the other way around. I think the judging is over now, so we’ll see tomorrow who has won what; Sam Whittingham at Naked took home the Gates prize for a belt drive bike – and rightly so, his screw expanding chainstays for tensioning and belt installation is very clever; I may have to borrow that idea….
