Well it has been a while since I posted any news (outside of new builds); I guess I’ve been busy! Tina and I just did a photo session for several bikes last week, so look for evidence of that to appear in the next few weeks.
In other news…. I did my second ever duathlon last weekend – the same Beaver Fever event that was my first one last year. Much worse weather conditions this time though – thankfully the major storm has passed over the day before, but it was still pretty wet and some strong gusty winds on the bike. For that reason, and with the likelihood of debris on the road, I just used training wheels, which was a good choice. The event is a 5km road run, a 20 mile somewhat hilly bike, and finally a 5km cross country run. Unfortunately not so much competition this year – last year I won but only by less than a minute – this year it was closer to 9….. But pretty happy with my effort, both runs were a few seconds quicker than last year. A nice way to wrap up the season!
My teammate Andrew, along with his wife Lauren and friend Meg, also repeated their win in the relay triathlon, so a good day out for all.
