An update on the Fairwheel project: The hub is mostly done – I need to drill the spoke holes, finish polishing and machine the spline for the freewheel carrier. And then get it anodised so I can build the wheel (which will be interesting, I think I will have to true it in the frame….).

Tubing picture – from top to bottom: S3 toptube, Columbus aero downtube, straight gauge seattube prior to machining, ovalised chainstay with reinforcing sleeve, headtube stock, EBB shell. I haven’t decided on the seatstay yet, will get the rest brazed up and see what I think. The lathe picture is externally butting the seattube. Next it will be ovalised.
