I just finished up a machining project – converting some of my aero front hubs into hubs for a racing handcycle. These will be laced into Enve 1.65 rims for a fast, lightweight race wheel. The first part was machining the new axles and end caps to convert the hub shells. The second part was making two different inserts for the handcycle frame – one set just gives a straight interface, but the other set provides a 3 degree camber to increase the stability for twisty courses. I also made a tool to allow for setting the cambered inserts correctly in the frame.
