Tim’s road bike
For the title on this one, I didn’t think I needed to call out ‘disc’ or ‘all-road’ or any other modifiers. It is just a road bike – a modern one, but it doesn’t need to be defined any other way.
The bike is shown with 30mm tires – the frame and fork will clear 35s. Geometry and handling is classic road – that sweet combination of fast yet stable. Tim asked for an integrated seatmast, which has an internal wedge seatpost (custom modified Thomson) for adjustability. Up front is a US-made carbon fork from Allied, fitted to a custom English headset so an oversize headtube wasn’t required to install the tapered fork.
Three bottle cages; sometimes the road is long. Toptube feedbag mounts – ditto. Kind of nice to do a full Campy build, complemented with Enve wheels. Beautiful paint by Colorworks, and it weighs in at a hair over 18lbs.
