Stainless road frame

Stainless road frame

This rider asked for a classic road frame, built in stainless and shiny! The tubing is a mixture of Reynolds 953, Columbus XCR and custom formed 316. Laser engraved logos were added prior to the tubes being joined. A Chris King headset secures the Enve fork, which is topped by a custom made stainless steel stem, with machined stainless spacers to perfectly match.

  1. Impeccable attention to detail, as always, Rob.

What did you do for rust protection, and how robust do you expect it to be?

    • Hi George – no treatment; the beauty of stainless! I have been riding mine for three years now, and I will get the occasional spot of tarnish from sweat on the toptube. It only takes a quick wipe with metal polish to bring it back to as-new.
