Shaun’s road bike

Shaun’s road bike

Shaun is a shorter rider, and in working with his fitter decided on shorter (155mm) cranks. So we could design a bike with a lower bottom bracket to best match that. To make the required reach work whilst avoiding toe-wheel overlap, the bike is designed around an 80mm stem and an FSA super-short reach handlebar.

A curve in the toptube was added for the aesthetic, with the arc continued through the seatstays.

Whilst SRAM’s 13spd XPLR groupset is promoted for gravel, it also makes a great 1x road setup, paired here with a Rotor power meter crankset. The wheels feature Chris King hubs laced to Enve SES 4.5 rims.

Paint, with neat pin-striping and Shaun’s logo on the headtube, is by Colorworks, and the final weight comes in at 18.0lbs.
