Serge’s gravel bike
Serge wanted a bike to complement his road bike by allowing him to ride more mixed surfaces. It also needed to serve duty for light touring/bikepacking too. He requested an integrated seatmast, with a third bottle mount on the back. Clearance for 38mm tires (35s with the fenders). We went with an Enve GRD fork on the front (which comes with the integrated fender – I found a rear one with a similar profile and they were painted to match). The headtube has a carbon insert which saves a few grams and adds to the aesthetic.
The seatmast is custom externally butted, with a matching cap machined to fit with Enve hardware to clamp the saddle. The chainstays were custom shaped for tire, chainring and rotor clearance, with flat mount bosses for the rear caliper.
A SRAM eTap group with hydraulic brakes takes care of shifting and stopping duties, whilst the bike rolls on Industry 9 wheels.
The paint is by Colorworks, and the complete bike with fenders weighs 19.7lbs.
