Packable Recumbent tandem

English tandem number two! This one is headed to Australia – packed into two standard Samsonite suitcases. Custom geometry to match the riders’ requirements. There is a four speed mid-drive for ease of chain management, giving a wide range of 36 gears. Titanium mid-tubes for a smooth ride and to save weight. 203mm disc rotors for plenty of stopping power. Custom pannier rack to hold the bags low and stable; specially made to fit around the rear brake caliper. Shown with a somewhat ugly adjustable captain’s stem – once the final position has been decided upon, I will make a much more elegant fixed stem for it.
