Max’s single-speed gravel bike
Max decided upon a single-speed, beltdrive, fat-tired, fendered gravel bike. Doing a custom fork too helped with fitting a 55mm tire with a full coverage fender and allowing for geometry that ensured no toe-fender overlap.
There is an eccentric BB for belt tensioning and allowance for a different gear ratio if required. Plus a UDH dropout in case of wanting to add gears later. I used one of the pivots from my folding frame design to act as the split in the seatstay for belt installation.
Max supplied the Velological rim dynamo, and custom bosses were added to the fork for mounting it. This then powers the front light and the frame has internal routing in the toptube for the rear light at the seatclamp.
SimWorks supplied the fenders, complete with extra stays for rigidity. Growtac disc brake calipers are operated by SRAM brake levers for a reliable mechanical brake setup.
Beautiful paint by Colorworks, including the Silca framepump and fenders. The bike weighs in at 21.1lbs as shown.
