Jonathan’s road bike

Jonathan asked me to build him a lightweight, responsive road bike for general riding but with an emphasis on climbing. The frame tubing was carefully selected to provide a good balance of stiffness and comfort for long rides, with an oversize headtube and T47 BB to allow for fully internal brake hose routing using the Enve In-Route system.

The frame tubing is mostly from Columbus, with custom shaping for the toptube, and seatstays curved in-house.

The low weight theme is aptly kicked off with the Lightweight wheelset, which is driven by a SRAM Red groupset, augmented with CeramicSpeed OSPW and BB, plus Galfer brake rotors.

Beautiful paint is by VeloColour, and the final weight is 17.4lbs.
