Joel’s ISP road frameset
Joel asked for an oversize headtube to accommodate a tapered Enve fork. He wanted an integrated seatmast, so I custom butted a 4130 tube before ovalising it, and made a matching adjustable cap with Enve saddle clamping hardware.
The downtube is a Columbus aero shaped tube, whilst the toptube is custom bi-ovalised. S-bend chain and seatstays allow for good tire clearance with a short rear end.
Joel didn’t want the headtube to be too tall, so the original design had a 25mm spacer under the stem. We decided to instead make a custom stem with this spacer integrated – which allowed room to put the bolt on the front. A built in, chamfered topcap keeps things neat, with a 4-bolt Paragon faceplate for ease of handlebar installation.
Gear cables run internally through the downtube, and the rear brake cable internally through the toptube, exiting from the rear of the seatmast.

This is so close to my idea of what the perfect road frame looks like. Outstanding!
