Jeff’s road bike
I rode with Jeff back in the pre-pandemic days of NAHBS 2019….. Hopefully will get to ride with other people again some time soon! In the meantime, Jeff is all set for long solo rides without needing to stop anywhere, since his frame features four bottle cage mounts and internally brazed ‘hidden’ bosses for a framebag – he requested two size options custom made by Kaibab Customs.
The frame has a custom machined integrated seatmast, tuned to give a little compliance at the saddle, whilst an adjustable cap allows for fine-tuning saddle height. Plenty of clearance for at least 32mm tires in the frame and Enve fork. A special headtube fits the EC headset which allows for fitting the tapered steerer (made in US) Allied carbon fork whilst keeping a slim profile.
The beautiful paint is by Colorworks, and the weight comes in at 17.3lbs as shown.
Have gotten two rides in (weather has been a bit rough here) and I absolutely love the ride. Snappy and polite. The bike feels so familiar after a couple of rides it was a bit weird. It is exactly what I was hoping for ride wise and then throw on how beautiful it is and it is truly a bike to be proud of. Thank you.
