Ignacio’s road bike
Ignacio had been suffering with some back pain, so we took the time for him to find the right fitter and a position that gave him more comfort before proceeding to design his bike. Being a taller rider with a small amount of saddle to handlebar drop, Ignacio asked if I could design it so as much as possible the bike wouldn’t look to be super tall in the front. We all want to feel like pro riders sometimes!
To help keep the weight low, the frame uses the English custom headtube and headset to hold the Enve tapered disc fork. A T47 BB allows for the rear brake hose to run internally from the back of the headtube to the rear caliper. The bike is built-up with a full Shimano Dura-ace Di2 groupset, and Enve rims laced to Chris King hubs.
Roger at Svelte Cycleworks created the design based on Ignacio’s family history, which was then painted by Colorworks. The final weight is 17.7lbs.
