Custom superlight road bike

Custom superlight road bike

This was a fun bike to build; always nice to play with the super high end stuff! I did my best to build a frame to match – total bike weight as shown ended up at 12.4lb. The wheels will end up being Lightweights, hopefully I’ll get some pictures of it set up that way as well (now added as the first photo).

Being a larger frame I wanted to maintain the stiffness, and so used the oversize True Temper S3 tubes for the mainframe, with a bi-ovalised downtube and teardrop shaped toptube. Custom externally butted headtube and relieved bottom bracket shell, custom butted and ovalised seattube (the seatmast cap gives 20mm of adjustment and features Edge hardware for carbon railed saddles), and my usual skinny seatstays but with a larger wishbone. Full internal cable routing with the gear cables exiting from underneath the BB. BTP carbon downtube shifter for the front derailleur and even carbon Nokon gear cables!

The finish is ‘black diamond’ and has a great sparkle in the sunshine; white decals match those on the Edge fork and bar.

“Just got the bike today and I have been unpacking it this afternoon. You put together a great bike. The frame is fantastic, I cannot pay you a high enough compliment for your level of craftsmanship.”
