Coz’s road bike
I have had the privilege of working with Coz on two previous bikes – a travel/gravel build and an all-road bike. To complete the set of dropbar machines, he asked me to build him a pure road bike this time. We settled on designing around 30mm tires, running on the (25mm internal) Enve 3.4 wheels.
Coz has found the extra bottle mounts on his other bikes very useful, so we did something similar here, with a third mount on the rear of the seattube, positioned to nicely tuck the bottle above the tire. There are also bosses on the toptube for a bento bag (Kaibab Customs are working on one to match!).
The frame has an aero downtube, and an oversize headtube to fit the FSA internal hose routing system using a Vision one-piece bar-stem and a fork from No.6. The build is finished out with a SRAM Red AXS wireless groupset.
For the paint, Coz found a theme with a helmet from The Mandalorian. I did my best to interpret his sketches into the paint design, then let Colorworks loose with the concept to create the wonderful finished design. The final weight comes in at 18.9lbs.
