Bo’s road bike
Bo is very happy with his gravel bike – for this build he asked me to build him a road bike with the same fit, optimised for riding in the mountains. Keeping things up-to-date, the bike uses Enve‘s In-Route system with a Chris King Aeroset headset to run the brake hoses internally. This setup requires an oversize headtube – to reduce the weight a little here a carbon insert was added. The frame has a custom taper ovalised toptube, round downtube and custom shaped seatstays.
The parts specification is focused on keeping the weight low. Partington provided the wheels with their low-profile option, Darimo the carbon seatpost, Bjorn the carbon/3D printed saddle. The groupset is primarily Shimano Dura-ace, with an FSA Team Issue crank to save a little weight there.
Roger at Svelte Cycleworks created the retro-inspired paint design, which was applied by Colorworks. With a custom painted Silca framepump to match. The final weight as shown is 16.1lbs.
