Armando’s aero all-road
Armando asked for some aero features to his frame, but with clearance for big tires – shown with 35mm here, 40s will fit. And so the first ‘aero all-road’ came to be!
The seattube was custom externally butted, then ovalised, with a wheel cut-out to match the tire. There are two bosses inside the cut-out for fender attachment. The toptube features a taper oval shape from front to back, the seatstays are dropped and ovalised, and the downtube has an aero profile.
Up front, Enve’s In-Route system of fork, headset, stem and bars enables the brake hoses to be fully hidden, with Campagnolo’s new Super Record 2×13 group not needing anything hidden as it is wireless.
Fulcrum Sharq wheels have a wide internal section to match with the tires, whilst adding stable aerodynamics.
Lovely paint by Colorworks, and the final weight as shown is 18.2lbs.
Sweet bike!!!
