An English for a two year old….

Training wheels have never been a good idea – they (ironically) just make the bike tippy and unstable, whilst teaching the child nothing of how to balance. Thus the best way to learn is without pedals; scoot with the feet for propulsion and balance, and soon the child will be rolling stretches with both feet up. Then it will soon be time for pedals!
This one uses 12″ wheels with cartridge bearings, the smallest saddle I could find (still looks proportionally too big!), and offers a few inches of seat height adjustment.

Hi Rob,
I’ve found that the “pivotal” BMX Saddle/seat combination works well for this application. A few different brands offer this set up.
