Abraham’s puppy gravel bike

Abraham’s puppy gravel bike

This was a fun project! Abraham asked me to build a bike for his wife that would allow her to ride with their four small puppies. We settled on a flat-bar 650B gravel bike with a custom front basket rack and a special bag made by Andy at Lords Luggage. The removable bag fastens securely to the rack, and has anchors for attaching the dog’s harnesses to. There is also an optional rain screen that can be added in case of inclement weather.

The bike features 42mm tires for a comfortable ride, with SRAM’s XPLR drivetrain for a wide range 1x setup. An Ingrid crankset in silver is accompanied by other silver components from Chris King and Ritchey. A custom steel fork allow for the rack to be mounted, with low trail geometry for good handling once loaded.

Paint is by Colorworks, including pictures of the puppies on the toptube. The weight is 18.5lbs without the rack.
