Alchemy road hubs

Alchemy may be the new kid on the block, but are already gaining a very good reputation. In 2009 they introduced the ELF (extra light front) hub, which offers larger bearings than most 'lightweight' hubs, a wide flange width for stiffness and yet still a very compeitive weight. This has been followed up with the rear ORC hub, which features uncompromised engineering to deliver a super smooth, stiff, durable hub. Machined in Colorado, USA.

ORC rear hub
Where to start with this one? Five bearings,
including an oversize unit directly connecting the
freehub body with the hub shell. Oversized axle
and flanges designed to maximise right offset
(thus getting the best bracing angle possible on
the cassette side) for a strong, stiff wheel.
