Yunan’s V3 Campy EPS

Yunan asked me to build him a fully custom frameset, and decided upon the V3 composite frame format, along with an aero steel fork and a one-piece stem/steerer. Direct mount brakes were requested, with the rear caliper positioned under the chainstays. With the bike being shown at NAHBS 2019, we were able to get one of the first Campagnolo Super Record 12spd EPS groupsets. A couple of custom parts were machined to enable this group to integrate cleanly – firstly an adapter bracket to allow the control box to bolt underneath the stem, much cleaner than a rubber strap. Secondly, a holder for the battery that fits snugly into the top of the seatmast, so the battery is held securely in a known location (since there is an external magnet switch system).

The fork features airfoil section blades, with a bolted crown that secures the steerer (headset preload is thus set using a ‘bottom cap’, just reversing the usual arrangement).

Finishing parts from THM (handlebars) and Selle Italia (saddle) complement the carbon weave of the Enve seatmast and headtube insert.

The paint is by Colorworks, and the complete weight as shown is 16.8lbs.
